It´s Build Time !
So happy !
The new build is finally here ! And it´s finally starting to look like what Agent Awesome is like in my imagination, the word might not be "Look" but "Work".
Art has not been implemented yet, but we finally have a neat transition between the Tactical Screen and the Action Screen, also the pathfinding behavior of the enemies is finally working as intended and I can start to see the seeds of what will become the turn based combat system.
The Agent is also doing great, you can plan his path and the combat with the enemies, Agent A. detects the enemies that are within his attack radius and the enemies detect him, also you can make the Agent change speeds, something that is a core element within the game, so all said this was a great build !
Specially after we had to let go of our Lead Programmer, we included two more engineers on the team to replace him, this guy did a lot of damage to the project but the new guys are really fixing the disaster that he left behind.
We still have a long way to go, but I have to admit that seeing the Core Mechanic starting to work makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside, next build should come with the turn based combat system implemented and after that one we will probably start implementing some of the art to the build.
